IRC Nickname: Abby`Sanford

Name: Abigail Jillian Sanford.
Alias: Abby.
Age: 18
Date of Birth: July 16th.
Hometown: Beckenham, England

Height: 5'9" (1.75m)
Weight: 134lbs (61kg)
Hair Color: Black.
Eye Color: Green.
Nationality/Race: English.

Occupation: Student.

Personality Profile: A young lady should never forget that she is, above all else, a lady. At least, that's what Abby's mother always tried to teach her. She failed. Despite an unwholesome obsession with shoes, Abby has grown to be rebellious, outspoken, even on occasions a little nasty. Although she's a fairly intelligent young woman, Abby has a tendency to do things that most people with the common sense God gave to a turnip would avoid like the plague. While she comes off as simply a no-nonsense young woman with impeccable British manners to the outsider, those that get to know her soon learn about the dangerous streak that runs close to her heart.

Physical Description: A rather attractive young woman of average height and slender build, with long black hair, vivid green eyes and fair skin. She tends to dress fashionably, though her current garb depends on the situation and the weather, of course. The only thing that marks her as a mutant physically is the faint luminescence around her eyes if one happens to catch a glimpse of her in the dark. Otherwise, she looks like a fairly normal, well-to-do teenager.

---------------------------------

Mutation/Powers:

Primary : Enhanced Physical Attributes - Abby's mutation gives her a combination of minor strength, speed, and particularly balance enhancements. She can't outrun a train or bench-press a car, but she can lift her own bodyweight and outdistance all but the best runners. Exact specifications: Top running speed 21mph (33.8kmph), maximum jump height 5.34 feet (1.65m), maximum clean lift weight 160lbs (73kg).

Secondary : Minor Regeneration - Heals about twice the speed of a normal human. Eg, if a human takes a month to heal fully from an injury, Abby will heal in two weeks. This does not include aggravated injuries (eg, burns, toxins, chemicals, etc), just impact/laceration damage. Cannot regrow severed body parts or survive fatal injuries.

Tertiary : Nightvision - Can see fairly well in low-light conditions. Not quite as well as in lit conditions, but almost. Sensitive to bright daylight, though.

Drawbacks/Weaknesses : She's also picked up the short attention span and obsession with shiny things many felines possess. Growing up around normal people has given her a sense of overconfidence, which can be dangerous given that most mutants with similar abilities to her own are much stronger or faster than she is. While not stupid by a long shot, she lacks the wisdom to know her limits, and tends to always push them a little too far. As mentioned above, she's also quite photosensitive, and tends to have difficulty in bright sunlight. Abby has also discovered (the hard way) that the advanced metabolism associated with her regenerative capabilities make her vulnerable to narcotics

How do you believe this character's powers will further develop in the future? With training (and some very patient teachers), Abby could learn to understand her own limitations and learn how to work within their confines, and maybe one day even exceed them. With physical training, she could possibly increase her abilities by another 20-30%. With mental and moral training, she could maybe learn to be a half decent human being instead of a spoilt punk brat.

Upgrade I : The Aftermath of Wonderland
In December 2009, Abigail was abducted by a group of mutants themed after the characters from Alice in Wonderland, working on behalf of the mysterious Consortium. While she spent a week in captivity with a handful of other students from the school undergoing a series of torturous brainwashing techniques, her mind was implanted the combat knowledge needed for Wonderland to turn her into an assassin. After the sleeper agents were awakened in April 2010 in a violent and unanticipated attack on the school, Abby found her mind awash with knowledge that she is still struggling to come to terms with. Though she now has skills that she doesn't yet fully understand, she is beginning to unlock a violent side of her nature that she has to wrestle to control. Though her instincts provide her with knowledge of a variety of martial arts and capability with many common weapons, she lacks the true understanding of what she's doing and the discipline that should have come along with the years of training she didn't have.

Background: Abby Sanford was born the only daughter of Stefan and Isabel Sanford, a wealthy family with some minor title dating back into somewhere in England's glorious history. Of course, in modern England the only thing the title meant was a small but pretty estate just outside of Beckenham, where Abby grew up. Given that the estate had no income to speak of, the Sanford family fortune instead came from the fact that both of Abby's parents were wealthy business tycoons. Abby spent most of her childhood in boarding school while her parents were in London on business, so they were unaware when her rebellious streak began to manifest itself as an early teenager.

With a combination of wits and charm, young Abby managed to keep her parents and teachers alike in the dark about her less-than-pleasant endeavors, which grew to involve petty theft, bullying, and in one incident even a spot of arson. Most of it she got away with, as her quietly-developing mutation began to make her harder and harder to control. While many X-genes exploded out at puberty and became blatantly obvious overnight, Abigail's was stealthy - she was a mutant before she even knew what mutants were. Not that it changed anything.

What changed things was when Abigail Sanford stepped over the line. A few instances of being dragged home by the bobbies after being caught shoplifting, her parents could ignore. But when she swiped the headmistress's car to go off lollygagging around the countryside with her little hoodlum friends, that was the line. She brought it back... eventually, and a few hefty bribes kept any charges from being laid, but her folks were at wit's end about what to do with their little hooligan until inspiration struck.

Toss her in the deep end. Brilliant! With the unforgiving logic typical of her parents, they stuck her on a plane to America with words of warning ringing in her ears; "Clean up your act, or you'll lose your trust fund." But will she listen? Only time will tell.

Quirks/Extras (Random fun facts about your character!): Abby has a stupid amount of shoes. They're her catnip. She loves them, collects them, and never wears anything sensible on her feet unless she absolutely cannot avoid it. She's also a bit of a kleptomaniac, and has several counts of shoplifting on her juvenile record from before she learnt how to avoid getting caught. She also speaks multiple languages, at the current levels following:
- French (Fluent, written & spoken)
- Spanish (Fluent, written & spoken)
- Japanese (Fluent, written & spoken)
- Cantonese (Fluent, written & spoken)
- Italian (Advanced, written & spoken)
- German (Advanced, written & spoken)
- Korean (Beginner, written & spoken)
- Russian (Beginner, written & spoken)
