Occupation: Helicopter pilot and CEO of High Life Aviation
Personality Profile: Normally laid back and quiet, Maxine is very easy to get along with and talk too. Can be quite sarcastic at times, even when a situation is rather serious and will not hesitate to crack a joke or wise crack. Some might label her as being either extremely odd or very immature. Maxine doesn't anger quick and very rarely looses her temper.....unless its while driving, where she suffers Road Rage. Opts to sit back and observe what's going on when not wise cracking or talking to someone. She loves talking about aviation and all things transport. Often carries a camera in her pocket or a Canon Digital Rebel XTi in a camera bag. Unknown to everybody outside her family, Max is very proficient in small arms and sniper rifles. This 'training' was due to her father and grand father, being military guys having an extensive collection of firearms in their houses. As part of the family rule, everybody is taught to use different weapons well enough to defend the house, themselves and whoever's in said house. This also lead to Maxine being taught to use the Ninjato sword, in which she can wield with decent skill. These abilities are kept secret for reasons of not wanting to be challenged in fear of being injured. (the reason will be explained in farther detail in the weakness/down side section). Maxine is also a very skilled driver.
Physical Description: Maxine is an average height for her age. She's of average build with some tone from minor work outs. She has a lite brown, sorta tanned complexion, black micro-curled hair that stops at her shoulders. Her eyes are a striking light hazel brown with flecks of gold. Complete with her size and looks, most folks think she's every bit of 16. In her alt form, Maxine takes on the graces of a Northern River Otter aka the North American River Otter or the Common Otter.

Her otter form

---------------------------------
Mutation/Powers: Hydrokinesis:
Primary :
The control water and Hydraulic fluid in,out or around their storage containers, pipes and rubber lines/hoses. Can also manipulate water a short distance away in fountains, rivers, ponds, lakes, streams even failing rain. Anything over 230 gallons, about the size of an average Semi-truck's fuel tank, could render her weak or even unconscious. Also water has to be within 50 or so feet to be manipulated or nothing will happen. She can only manipulate water or hydraulic fluid for about 20 to 30 seconds before either a lapse of concentration kicks in or migraine from hell. She can also increase water mass from a small source. For example, 1 gallon of water can be increased to nearly 25 gallons in order to manipulate it with much more force.
*Maxine is now able to lift the entire water contents of a full Olympic sized pool. She is also capable of producing 3 times the volume of water from a small source, creating a tidal wave nearing 60 feet in height.
Secondary :
With a quick temperature change, Maxine can create dense fog from a water source as small as a 20 once bottle. The fog is only effective enough to completely obscure a room and or a hallway. Outside, the fog only covers an area of about 40 to 50 feet, enough to completely obscure a transit bus. This thick fog can also aid her as an extra pair of eyes, enabling her to 'see' any and everything within the fog. She can also use the fog to collapse or over inflate lungs of living, breathing creatures, causing instant choke-age. With the same temperature change, Max can create ice at will. This can only go so far with the ambient temperature needing to be 75 degrees and below to really form good, solid ice but she's getting better. The lower the ambient temperature, the more solid the ice, which can be shaped variously from a bat to normal ice cycles.
*Maxine is now able to fully freeze water in all types of weather and temperatures.
Tertiary : Otter form:
Maxine is able to turn into a River Otter at command. This trait was first figured out when she was 5 years old while swimming in the family pool. In this form, Maxine still has basic water control and still able to produce her fog. Communication verbally is limited but still understandable. Telepaths and other mutants with strong mental abilities will be able to freely understand Maxine in this form. Maxine can stay otter for as long as she wants.....but with a draw back. If she stays away from water too long, this can render her stuck in otter form until either consuming enough water to change back or fully submerging herself in any body of water.
Drawbacks/Weaknesses :
Very hot and dry weather with outside temps cranked past 88, tends to reek havoc on her body. Unlike most folks, who can last hours in the heat before dehydration kicks in, Maxine can only stay out in hot weather for an hour or so before dehydration kicks in. Most tasks like yard work or outdoor sports tend to take a lot of fluids from her body. This set back tends to keep her armed with at least 3 to 4 20 once bottles of water held in special holsters attached to her belt. Also, due to her mutation, Max's blood is a lot thinner than a normal person's blood. This means that simple injuries such as paper cuts and getting cut doing general work could lead to a lot of blood loss. Serious injuries such as stab wounds, fist fight wounds or even being shot can be particularly life threatening from just the quick blood flow alone. This is one reason why Maxine plays a wuss and goes thru great lengths to stay out of trouble and fights....unless provoked.
How do you believe this character's powers will further develop in the future?
After some more, in depth practice and coaching, she could develop her abilities to the point of manipulating vast amounts of liquids, such as forcing brake fluid from a tank rail car, lifting a medium sized aircraft using nothing but the hydraulic fluid within its control systems, and possibly lifting water completely into the air from a point in a lake or river or from shore totaling billions of gallons.
Background:
Maxine hails from a family of pilots. Her grand dad was part of the Tuskegee Airmen squadron that flew in Europe during WW2.Her grand dad also flew in Korea and Vietnam. Her father would go on to fly for the Air Force also, starting off in F-15s, getting stick time at the F-16, and being one of the few black pilots to fly the F-117. When Maxine turned 2, her father retired and went on to fly for Fed Ex.
This is where Max's love for Aviation began. At 16, Maxine received her pilot's license. She'd graduate from high school at the age of 18 and go on to College to take up helicopter flying. At the age 18, her father paid for her a trip to Russia, where she would get stick time at one of the most legendary fighters ever to fly in the Russian Military, the MiG-29 Fulcrum. Since then, Maxine has stacked up many flight hours in various helicopters and the family Super Decathlon.
While attending college in Boston, Max flew charter helicopters as a side job for a business owned by her father and a friend of her father's. Graduating from college, she went on to fly full time for the company called High Life Helicopters, regularly piloting three of the company's 6 helicopters, a modified Bell 407, a Westland Lynx and an ole retired UH-1B Huey.
Max would find out about her special ability one day in college while drinking water from a water fountain. A silly muse of being able to keep the water from coming out of the fountain triggered her hydrokenetic abilities, forcing water back into the supply pipes, causing the water pipe leading to the fountain to burst loudly within the wall. The incident made her pass out from both the shock of forcing the water opposite of its escape pressure and the fact she actually felt herself doing it. A couple years later, a repeat experience would tip her off to her abilities. This wasn't a water fountain but the sealed hydraulic lines of the company's UH-1 Huey. While poking around under the engine panel, she found the source of the low hydraulic leak warning during a preflight test. Looking the line over, she would muse again at how cool it would be to hold back the fluid to do a quick repair. This thought would trigger her hydrokenetic powers once more, forcing the hydro fluid within the aircraft away from the leak with immense pressure, effectively bursting several hydraulic lines in the process. From that point on, Max knew she wasn't normal and has kept her abilities a full secret from everyone.
Quirks/Extras (Random fun facts about your character!):
Aside from flying, Max is a pretty decent artist. Many of her artwork are sketches of odd things, like Boxcars from freight trains, Semi truck trailers, buses and even street sweepers. She's a die hard R/C hobbyist and can be seen flying one of her 3 R/C aircraft, an electric Apache, a gas powered SU-31 aerobatic plane and a custom made large, white battery powered Slow Stick park flyer with a 5 foot wingspan. Uses the JR DSX9 multifunction R/C transmitter. She also has a weird fascination with hiccups. She loves all sorts of music, but really settles on video game BGM, Jazz, and ole skool Marvin Gay and Al Greene. And paper airplanes......she loves making paper airplanes. Aside English, Maxine is able to speak fluent Russian. And Max loves lobbing water balloon at unsuspecting victims in the quad.....although not limited to just that one area.
Vehicles:
Maxine owns and drives two vehicles.
First one's a black 1979 Lincoln Continental Town Car with 2, high intensity, yellow tinted fog lights mounted on top the front bumper. The windows are darkly tented with a black leather interior and sunroof. A near 5 foot tall metal CB antenna sticks up from the upper trunk lid near the back window on the passenger side of the car, which is used for the Cobra 29 LX LE. Rims are the standard Lincoln silver chrome metal rims. The car has dual exhaust. Comes powered by a 265hp 7.5 liter Ford 460 V8.

Second car's a two toned black and gray 1990 Ford Thunderbird Super Coupe. Its powered by a Whipple supercharged 5.4 Liter V8 pushing nearly 700hp. Transmission's the Tremec TR-6060 six speed manual. The suspension is based off the 2011 Super Snake. Brakes were beefed up Baer 6 piston calipers with cross drilled carbon metallic discs. The tires are Z rated Goodyears wrapped around black Thunderbird rims. The car's stance has been lowered a couple inches and vents added on the sides for increased air flow for the engine. A slightly upturned, standard spoiler rests on the back of the car with the normal dual exhaust sticking out the back. Interior's black leather with wood grain trim, a CD/MP3 player and a Bose 8 speaker stereo system. This car is a true sleeper.

High Life Helicopters
Started off as a joint Family/Friend venture in 1975 outside Max's Dad's military career. The company started off flying hot cargo runs with an ole surplus UH-1D Huey from the 1st Calvary and UH-34 Choctaw from an unknown unit around the New York City and Jew Jersey area. Business was successful enough to add on another helicopter to the team in 1977, a large Bell 214ST for passenger ferry work. 6 months later, two more UH-34s joined the team. For the next 6 years the 3 Choctaws would work hard flying cargo until maintenance issues started slowing them down. One Choctaw crash landed in 1983 due to a tail rotor failure. The last two remaining Choctaws were dropped and replaced by a Russian Kamov KA-32. in 1985, a Westland Lynx was purchased second hand from a British helicopter firm. 1987 saw a used 1979 Bell 222 helicopter bought.1990 saw the company's first venture into the fixed wing market. Purchasing an Antonov AN-2 and a Dehavilland DHC-3 Otter for cheap, High Life began flying packages and hot freight on contract from various small towns thru out the east coast under the name High Life Aviation, call sign "High Fly". A year later, two more aircraft , a 1986 Cessna 208 Grand Caravan and a 1976 Lear Jet 36A, were purchased to deal with the increase in cargo hauling In 1998, High Life Helicopters purchased their newest edition to the fleet, a 1996 Bell 407. Although NYC based, High Lift has their choppers housed at different airports with the Kamov and 222 housed at JFK and the Huey in Springfield, Mass and the other 3 at the Salem, Mass airport. The company's 3 fixed wing aircraft are also based out of Salem, Airport. Within the last 2 to 3 years, High Life aviation, despite its battle with the FAA, has added several aircraft to their fleet thanks to the government's stimulus package deal. With rising profits, more contracts and more demand for air transport services, High Life has added 3 new fixed wing aircraft to their fleet.
