Personality Profile - Alexander is a dark and troubled young man. He grew up in a relatively small town in Italy, Allasandria where he was born into poverty and soon became entwined in the world of organized crime. He went from pretty thefts as a child, stealing a meal or a bit of candy here and there to soon more and more sinister serious crimes of burglary, assault and minor bits of book running. All in all, he was satisfied with his life, even though he had always different and always an outcast even before his powers manifested. His mother was white and his father Italian and that made him excluded, an outsider, not someone of pure blood. His exceptionally pale skin and light sensitivity failed to help matters. His entire past has left him brooding, untrusting, introspectively silent at time but also vocally aggressive and unwilling to back down from a potential threat, a trait garnered through years of learning to survive on his own, on the streets.
Physical Description - Alexander stands at a tall and physically height and weight of just over six feet and around one hundred and eighty pounds. His times not spent on the street in pursuit of his 'earnings' for the week were spent at home working out, lifting weights, running, practicing boxing and sparring down at the local gym. He has exceptionally pale skin despite his mixed Italian heritage and a thick mane of long, dark, black hair that falls down past his broad and powerful shoulders. He also sports a thick although neatly trimmed goatee and his eyes are a particular shade of striking emerald green and lend a penetrating, sometimes overly serious look to his face. He is most often dressed in the typical fashion of people his age. He prefers a black wifebeater that shows off his powerful upper body for intimidation purposes along with jeans, and a pair of black biker boots with thick leather soles and deep treads.

Mutation and Powers
Primary Power -Blood Manipulation: Alexander is able to control his own blood in such a way that he can, by way of inflicting a small cut to his hand, for example summon it forth and shape it in projectiles. So far he has been able to turn these projectiles into spikes and spheres. Spikes for lethal attacks and spheres that when they strike will impart a force of impact to knock a person back or if aimed at the legs and feet can begin to rapidly congeal becoming a sticky, gooey sort of substance that attempts to slow a person's movements down or halt them.
Secondary Power - Blood Katana: Alexander has also learned to control his blood enough that he is able to form a single, large, solid blade with it usually in the shape of Katana. The weapon as it stands now is about the same density, weight and sharpness of a Katana forged from steel and of about the same effectiveness against super powered defenses or otherwise.
Tertiary Power - Regeneration - Alexander's body is able to heal quickly from moderate wounds and damage though this comes at at a terrible price. His particular mutation has resulted in strange hemoglobin mutations that have rendered it so that he has to actually consume blood in able to replenish and keep new blood in his system where it is mutated to match the changed hemoglobin already in his system. It can be animal or human blood, it doesn't matter, and he goes more than a day without replenishing the blood and mutated hemoglobin levels which supply his powers his powers begin to fade and his health begins to decline rapidly.
Drawbacks and Weaknesses: He is especially weak to sunlight and light based powers. When in direct sunlight it always causes him a moderate amount of pain that ranges from headaches, to a mild form of nausea which he has learned to live with and in general a sense of lethargy and tiredness which he has been combating all of his life with his workout and stamina training. As mentioned above he also has the need to consume blood that his own body attacks and mutates to match his special hemoglobins which fuels his regeneration and his powers. He can consume small amounts of food but in general it makes him sick and he has no appetite for it.
How do you believe his powers will evolve? - I think as Alexander learns to master his Blood Manipulation the impact of his blood orbs and spikes and the degree to which they slow down an opponent will improve with time and training and practice. The Blood Katana, I also see possibly improving over time to become sharper or harder and more effective against super powered defenses and materials. His tertiary power that causes him the need to consume and replenish his blood I think will also become more prominent requiring him to replenish his hemoglobin levels at faster and faster rates as they used to fuel his powers and as his powers become more effective.
Background - Alexander grew up in a small town in Italy. His mother was white and his father Italian. Both of them were killed under strange circumstances and looking back on it while he was to young for them to explain it at the time, he believes that his mother may have been a mutant and that it may have had something to do with their death. Unfortunately, he doesn't know that much about his parents to even be sure. They were murdered when he was only five years old. This lead to Alex being placed in foster homes where he met with physical and verbal abuse until he was old enough to run and take to a life on the streets. This is where he began his run with a small group of Mafioso in his home town where he worked as a low level thug and enforcer until the time that his powers activated.
Alex was in general happy with his life, shaking down store owners, mugging people, running books and in general small time crime until the night that he was asked to kill an innocent young woman. He was never told what she had done wrong or even why the Captain wanted her dead. All that mattered was that he wanted it done and this was Alex's initiation and a way to prove his loyalty to the family. When he arrived at the young woman's house, however, and saw how much she reminded him of his own mother as he stared into her frightened and tear filled eyes rage boiled up inside of him. Before he even knew what had happened he was had sliced open his own arm and as the blood ran down his forearms he was able to form it into spheres which he hurled at the two men that had accompanied him. Their screams muffled as the gooey black substance struck them and sent them flying back as it clung to them. The next he knew Alex was standing in the middle of a pool of blood with a large, crimson, Blood katana in his hand and the two bodies of his mob companions were lying headless on the floor. The young woman was huddled in the corner, sobbing uncontrollably and Alex turned and fled from her house into the night.
He sought out protection with the local government and in agreement for his help in taking down the rest of the small mob family with his testimony he was granted immunity from his horrible crime and with enough money to go to America and find the Cobalt Academy, a place for people with powers like himself.
Quirks, Extras, Random Character Feats - Alexander is handy in hand to hand to combat. He's had boxing training and since his powers manifested he's been training in combat with Katans.
He also had a nick name among his mafia buddies, 'Hey there he is, this is the guy, the Vampire!'
He is fluent in Italian and English though at times he has troubles with the English Language.
He is also skilled and still learning the guitar.
He is skilled in a number of crimes, theft, grand larceny, book running and so on and has a rap sheet for them though the records were sealed by the Italian government.
