Personality Profile: A man of general decent manner, William is even tempered and a throw back to an older generation where etiquette still reigned. He is typically quiet and reserved, rarely prone to any sort of emotional outbursts and yet particularly passionate when it comes to matters such as history or politics.
Physical Description: Not particularly tall, however broad shouldered and well built; Dawes has a characteristic suited to a man in a more physical profession. He has rough features, typically wearing a short beard and hair that he grooms with some regularity. Over the years his hair has faded somewhat to lighter shades, usually strewn with a few locks of blond. His face is usually stern, with a particular severity in his eyes which is likely due to constant exposure just as it had lightened his hair to close his gaze.

In an emotional reaction, a sort of metal begins to erupt from the pores in his skin and begins to cover the man in a full suit of 'armor'. This armor covers him from head to toe, with jagged sharp edges covering most of his body as a result. The fingertips are effectively bladed, capable of cutting flesh apart. The suit itself is particularly effective at protecting his body from most melee it, as of yet, is not strong enough to resist most caliber firearms, though some smaller rounds are at least slowed.
Secondary :
The presence of the armor has an improvement in his strength, allowing Dawes to act as though twice his current size and to strike with equal force.
Tertiary :
Drawbacks/Weaknesses/Side Effects :
For now, the armor is an impulsive and emotional reaction. Dawes has no particular control over it. When it does emerge, it will allow him to breathe however he is unable to eat or drink while it covers him. This limits the period he can wear it and William cannot yet force it to go away.
How do you believe this character's powers will further develop in the future? (Note: Not required for staff members.)
In the future I see this ability to becoming more controlled, allowing him to will the armor to emerge and to dissipate. It might also improve in its defensive qualities and allow him to resist more aggressive attacks.
Background:
William was raised with a standard Midwestern family. He played on the baseball team and did rather well in school, even joined the JROTC program with the intentions to serve in the military. This desire however was quickly erased when an errant throw from the pitcher threatened to hit the young Dawes. An impulsive reaction as he turned his body caused the armor to emerge and when the ball bounced harmlessly away so did his own future. In that god fearing county it didn't take long to be ostracized from the community and William took the hint sooner rather than later, choosing to depart to begin a cross country walk trying to find a new way forward. Along the way he picked up odd jobs here and there, mostly living from day to day.
