Hometown:: Dejima, Japan
Height:: 6 ft
Weight:: 275 pounds
Hair Color:: Red

Nationality/Race:: Dutch/Irish

Occupation:: Mercenary, former government operative, corporate spy, freedom fighter, former global terrorist

Personality Profile:: To most people Edge is a man of many different personalities traits. He could show compassion one minute and become a cold heartless, greedy sexist bastard the next. He is a hard person to get close to when it comes to interpersonal relationships. He seems to keep his friendships at least at arms length for his own emotional protection when he feels he must. But he shows a fierce sense of protective nature to those he trusts and respects. Most of the time his mood greatly depends on the type of day he is having, and the quality of coffee he is drinking. However he is not a man to be fully trusted but even more so a man to not cross.

**UPDATE**

Felix- More of the creative side of the two personalities, he prefers to work on and design things in his spare time and is good with his hands. He is also the more protective of others and to those around him, a fierce sense of loyalty for a just cause and people he believes in. He doesn’t offer friendships easily; he drives a clear line between being sociable with a person and considering them a friend. If he does offer his friendship that bond will remain unbroken unless he is directly betrayed because of it. In his world, the offering itself is a symbol of a willingness to lay down his life for them. Something he finds a very serious decision and not to be taken lightly by others. When he gives his word he means what he promises, there is a high sense of honor and duty that drive him internally. A chronic chain smoker and drinker due to fits of depression he is currently seeking professional help for. However the he is able to be social when he wishes but is wildly known to "people watch". Studying staff and students behavior and characteristics by using deduction and the power of observation.

Edge- This personality was dormant for most of Felix's life but reared it's ugly head when the emotional stress and anger of certain personal timeline events forced him to become something worse. Adding more stress and personal emotional trauma allowed him to exist in the physical world and become the more dominant personality. He is extremely dangerous and predatory in nature when dealing with strangers and even allies. He has a reputation for being cold blooded, clean, methodical and thorough when dealing with opposition that block his goals. He prefers to plan his attacks in great detail in order to confuse, harass and then finally slaughter without mercy or compassion. He seems to take delight in other's suffering and despair and is known to mock others to make it worse. He looks at almost everybody with distain. Without a personal reason or possible benefit with their acquaintance, he generally ignores others or with a wide frigid indifference toward their very existence.

Physical Description::

Edge was the image of lanky bony figure when dressed in his normal attire a large brown overcoat, olive BDU's and metal tipped black boots. His red hair was long, the tips coming past down his tailbone. But he always kept it braided neatly and took pride in his appearance even thou it always looked like he processed a five o'clock shadow at any time during the day. His left eye was hidden under a leather patch as his other eye was a pale blue. He sported several tattoos on his body and down both his forearms which were visible when he rolled up his sleeves. His outfit was finally set with a brown slouch hat perched on the top of his head. Edge was known for being armed at all times with a variety of weapons at his disposal.

---------------------------------

Mutation/Powers:: Controlled bone growth. Edge has the ability to manipulate the bone mass inside his body. This includes, but is not limited to, the generation of new bone mass, projecting bones out of the body. The strength of his bones is equal to one cubic inch of bone can withstand the load of at least 19,000 pounds (8,626 kilograms), which is approximately the weight of five standard-size pickup trucks. This is roughly four times the strength of concrete. The bone's resistance to load is equal to that of aluminum and light steel.

Because of his control of his power he is able to keep his bones from overgrowing most of his skin. It allows him to keep somewhat of a normal looking appearance but only shows more of a pronounced skeletal structure. He normally is wearing fingerless gloves to cover the one part he is unable to control, his knuckles. They normally are covered with a thick layer of bone knuckle guards. However when he is forced to regrow damaged or loss bone fragments Edge's entire nervous system overloads sending a searing pain all over his body. The effect is quite taxing on his body and consumes a lot of energy in the process.

Bone shards/Blades- it is possible for Edge, in a pinch, to cause a massive growth of in the lower lumbar of his back region to produce "lancets" like bone blades, max of four at one time. In order to remove them he must snap them off at the base which causes extreme pain.

The edges of the blades are not uniform in design but they possess obsidian like sharpness in cutting ability. Once a blade is ripped out a wound remains which slowly closes itself soon after. It takes up to 72 hours for him to have the ability to regrow another one.

Pain: The pain he feels releases endorphins which are produced by the pituitary gland and the hypothalamus in vertebrates. They resemble the opiates in their abilities to produce analgesia and a sense of well-being to Edge. But there is a massive drawback to this ability, producing too much of these endorphins slows his reaction times and an overdose would make him fall into a coma or possibly kill him.

Secondary :: Longevity, due to certain genetic mutations during their inception at puberty his aging process slowed until it was completely dormant in it's current state. But small residual effects of aging still occur and fingernails and hair grow at normal rates. When damaged Edge's body reacts and attempts to repair itself to it's previous condition by his marrow producing specialized clotting cells that seek to seal the wound. His body cannot reproduce in quick succession certain organ tissue however making him just as vulnerable as a typical human being.

Tertiary :: Technopathy, this power seemed to manifest later in his life. If it uses or
carries electrical pathways he is able to manipulate and control it. This is of course if
the machine/computer isn't locked down or physically destroyed or damaged that would cease its operation. But this power is only able when he is in physical contact with the device in question.

Drawbacks/Weaknesses :: Edge's body is tougher then most mutants but his powers only protect him from so much. If he didn't watch the reconstruction rate of lost bone fragments he can weaken very quickly and pass out due to exhaustion. The same goes for blunt force trauma and gunshot wounds. Too many wounds and his body won't be able to patch the holes fast enough and he will simply be able to bleed to death.

How do you believe this character's powers will further develop in the future?: No, his
powers are as developed as they can be.

Background:: The official story behind who Edge was still isn't clear. His existence can be

pieced together when looking into unofficial backstreet channels. There is a rich history of him popping up during regions of conflict and shadowy operations of the less then legal category and variety. Even S.H.E.I.L.D for a time counted him as one of their agents during their early years as an agency, he has long since been disavowed and put on their "persons of interest" for several illegal operations not sanctioned by the agency. He has a lone wolf modus operandi, whois real motives and goals for picking sides are never clear. Sometimes he fought for a cause, sometimes for money, sometimes just for the hell of it. His legacy and reputation in the black ops world were already legendary in certain circles.

It unfortunately gained him more enemies then friends during his years of existence in the life of underworld dwelling. But it had earned him operational experience that made him an even more dangerous opponent with his tactical planning and methods. He is also known for his technological knack at invention and weapons design. He has a whole host of projects that he is currently working on for various clients around the globe.

Sometimes his designs were brokered to defense contractors, via shell companies, in order to further fund his research into other various fields non-weapon related. He has spent a good deal of time producing safe houses and labs over the globe in order to keep his operations secret and his projects away from prying eyes of certain government departmental agencies.

Before that his true origin is still shrouded is mystery, the truth might never be known to the general public.

**UPDATE**

It has become very clear that Edge's persona is the more dominant one. And his dealings with

the world in general aren't so cut and dry. Information has been could be obtained though various underground well connected information sources that he is responsible for a host of international crimes and offenses toward the world population and stable governments. How any direct connections to him taking part are not possible at this time. There has been presented evidence for them funding and arming radical factions of armed revolutionary and oppressive regimes that themselves are guilty of international war crimes and genocide. Unknown to most that he has used his time and resources to build himself a organization to help facilitate the trafficking of arms and information throughout the world. Not much is known about the group itself, or it's leadership, but that it is extremely violent when threatened in it's retaliatory action. It prefers to not seek attention or responsibility for it's covert actions finding anonymity it's preferred weapon of choice. The group is highly motivated and seems to recruit the best personal from local sources of conflict to fill his ranks. Some of them are motivated by financial gain but a select group has become zealots to the cause and to their leader. The group itself is ideologically ambiguous and will work with just about any other organization or cause that has the money to pay for their services. Edge presence at the school seemed to one of an opportunist reasoning but for what purpose nobody can be sure.

In accordance with Felix Vos's past violent actions and dubious, the government has decided to cut all ties with him, past and present. The US government disavows all knowledge of ever having worked with Felix Vos, and will provide no further support henceforth.

**Background**

Edge was born of a prostitute mother and a sea captain of a father. But he was a bastard to be sure the moment he came out. Technically he didn’t exist because the government of Japan outlawed foreign women on their soil. Deep within the maze of the trading port city his mother and the rest of the prostitutes were hidden from public eye. But even that existence was in jeopardy when his mother soon developed a lung infection and died soon afterward now making him an orphan. A decision was made by the brothel’s owner to kill the boy and burn the body in order to destroy the evidence. But several of her mother’s friends decided that they wouldn’t allow that to happen to an innocent child. They bribed a guard and placed the child into a basket of rice leaving the port town but was soon discovered by the recipient of the rice, a Shinto monk in a large temple up in the mountains.

His early days in the monastery were a tough time from him personally...if not taxing
physically. From the moment he was able to walk on his own he was put to work doing manual labor around the temple. He was worked from sun up to sun down most of the time crying himself to sleep on the cold hard ground he was forced to sleep on. His development was slow but time seemed to cease for him behind the walls, it dragged from one horrible day to the next as he was used to being beaten for any minor offense or simply for the perverse joy of the monks living there. The monks themselves weren’t really fully monks in the traditional way. Most of them he would come to understand were former ronin, reformed criminals, spies and aging mercenaries, their skills and training long since unneeded and vanishing in the very modernizing landscape of Japanese society.

When he was about twelve years old the time at the temple began to change him, the forced labor made him stronger...the beatings toughened his skin but unfortunately made him turn inward with his anger…and how that anger grew over time.

There was a moment during supper of that same year he was serving dinner like he always did, when one particular fouled tempered monks slapped him for a minor offense of breaking the vow of silence by “breathing too loud”. Edge gritted his teeth for a moment as he watched the entire room smirk to themselves at their white barbarian mascot. But Edge paused for a moment narrowing his eyes some and suddenly struck out slapping the monk across the face as hard as he could. The room went dead silent as the struck “holy man” went wide eyed in surprise. Edge bowed lightly toward the man and quietly remarked that the monk himself broke the rules and should be equally punished. He could have decided to try and fight him but he
knew that these men were trained fighters. All of them, even the eldest ones, could soundly kill him without much effort if they wished it. Their ways had been long since abolished by the government as warriors but their skills and techniques were still secretly taught within the confines of the walls of the monastery to one another.

The monk in question turned looking to head of the order sitting at the end of the table, who was more concerned with his noodles then what was occurring at the other end of the table. The insulted monk proceeded to let loose a fury of kicks and punches that sent Edge to the ground tumbling. Now normally this would have been enough for Edge, normally licking his wounds and crawling away. But he didn’t this time. He got back up moving to the same spot where he had been standing before and stood there in silent defiance. The monk again beat him to the floor but Edge always got back up to the astonishment of the other monks. This whole scene went on for a decent deal of time as Edge’s blood was spilled over the rice matted floor in splatter marks and in small pools when he fell.

In the end Edge stood there on rubber legs bleeding, battered and bruised but not once did he cry out in pain or show any real facial emotion. But behind his swollen cheeks, his pale blue eyes sat nothing more then pure rage and contempt for the man standing in front of him. Just as what would more then likely would have been a killing blow, the shout from the head of the order ceased any more violence. The head of the order, the same man that had found him crying in the woods, burst out in laughter finding the whole thing quite funny for some odd reason. But Edge wouldn’t recall the laughter as his body finally gave out from the pain and he passed out cold on the ground broken and bloody but triumphant. Two things happened after that night, one he wasn’t ever unfairly punished by any of the other monks ever again and two he learned how to stand up for himself finally.

Under the personal guidance of the head monk, a man by the name of Miyamoto Motomenosuke, Edge was shown the introductions of the art of combat. Soon most of the old warriors in the temple followed suit to teach him their knowledge for the simple fact to be remembered. The sun was fast settling on their way of life and that ultimate truth was profound to them.

This tutelage would continue but when his mutant power manifested his status dramatically changed within the dynamic of the order. At first he wasn't able to control the growth spasms and produce more then normal growth. It made his body appear more bulky and less humanoid. Most thought him a kami, a Shinto spirit, that manifested to test their commitment to their warrior way of life but even so he wasn’t ever looked at as fully equal due to his barbarian heritage. But this didn't stop his teacher from working and training him all day until he passed out from exhaustion.

He spent nearly 20 years at the monastery learning from his teachers and watching them die one by one of old age or simply leaving to pursue something else. He however was able to finally learn his native of English when Christian missionaries moved into the region. But soon he would become the last one left at the Temple, alone once more. He didn’t stay long after that as he packed his few belongings and boarded a Dutch ship that sailed for the open sea. He soon popped up seeking gold and glory in Witwatersrand South Africa fighting with the Boars but vanished once more only to appear marching with the French Foreign Legion in northern Africa. He would continue this quest for fortune and glory all over the globe only to vanish again to parts unknown. This process has continued to this very day.
