[23:46] <Sisip> Climbing into the van the woman waits, leaning back as she closes her eyes. There was obviously a lot on her mind lately, this was simply another thing. It would probably be fine though, a lot of worry for nothing.
[23:48] <MarloCross> Gloves. Suit. Jacket. Boots. Helmet. Marlo got himself ready, locking himself inside Crippler's mindset but still holding his alter ego's 'face. A deep breath. In. Hold. Out slowly. He took a second he calm his nerves and then he was out, fastening the com inside his ear. He no longer left it in the helmet, though he should. He made his way to the parking garage, his face calm and collected.
[23:54] * `emily blew out a deep calming breath as she stepped into the parking garage and made her way to the van, giving Sisip a small smile she climbed into the back of the van. Emily bit her lip again, a nervous habit of hers, before looking to Sisip and taking off her glasses..."are you okay Sisip? you seem a little distracted"
[23:56] <vile> Nick tosses the empty Styrofoam container in a trash can he passes. Once they get out to the van, he settles down in the back and patiently waits for the car to be started up. To pass the time, he starts up a game of Tetris on his phone. Thankfully the volume is muted. No good would come of pissing Sisip off when they have something to do.
[23:57] <Ahriman> Fergus flipflop'd quickly into the parking garage, backpack in one hand, boots and socks in the other. "Skin o' my teeth, huh?" he smirked, hopping into the van. The flipflops were soon replaced with socks and boots, before taking the earpiece from its spot on his backpack. He put it in place before going over his weapons, checking that they were in working order (they were), then topping off his ammo - and even making sure the one lethal weapon he brought was all in order. It would've been better if he'd had time to grab and put on his suit, but the clothes he had would have to do. His backpack, at least, had an identifying team insignia on it, so there was that.
[00:01] <Sisip> "Hmm?" the woman opens her eyes and looks in the mirror at Emily before she gives a weary smile and a shrug, "Pretty sure I'm ok. Nothing to worry about." When everyone was piled into the van she sits up and heads off to the address that was scribbled on the message. She hadn't opened it, she still had no clue what it said, but dammit she was going to deliver it. She doesn't say much as they drive, choosing, instead, to let the others chitchat. There wasn't much she could really say, having absolutely no intel on this one. They head into the warehouse district and she sighs, she hated the warehouse district, bad things seemed to happen here. Well, maybe Tremor was just ... filming a movie.. or something. Pulling up to the address she sets it into park, "Okidoki artichokies, We're here.." Wherever 'here' was
[00:08] * `emily reaches over and opens the side door of the van, looking around for a second she hops out of the van making sure to leave her glasses in the van so they dont get busted, turning she stepped out of the way so others could get out of they needed to and just leaned against the van waiting
[00:13] * [Trem] *It's dark when they arrive. The area is an old warehouse district used for storage of various construction and commercial equipment. Every now and then, some yahoo gets the idea to use one of the storage houses as a giant studio. Some use them for movies or photo shoots, but in Tremor's case, it appeared to be sculpting. Large stone slabs rest heavy on saw horses in various corners of the expansive room. Huge collections of tarp and plastic line the floors and walls, some of them covering half finished statues set atop pedestals of untapped rock. The lights overhead flicker as they clearly have not been maintained for a very long time. As the group moves further in, they would hear the sound of a high powered chisel carving through stone at the far end, the far away glow of flood lamps masked only slightly by clouds of chalky dust filling the air.*
[00:14] <MarloCross> Hopping out, helmet still in his left hand, Marlo looked around at the warehouse district they hand just stopped in. The closest one to him was Emily, so she got asked first, his black eyes setting on her." You got any idea whats goin' on?" To get called out like this had still not settled into his guts 'everything is fine' sector.
[00:17] <Ahriman> Fergus pulled on his goggled before leaving the van, stepping aside to make way for others. A vein throbs to prominence on one side of his head, and he takes a moment to catalog the state of absolutely everything within his field of view. "On your word, boss," he spoke to Sisip, though since she'd be so close, didn't use the comm - yet.
[00:17] <Sisip> Sisip, of course, leads them in. She was the one with the message, afterall. She could hear him through her com, Marlo, and she knew the wary tone he took, "It'll be fine, kiddo." The sound of the chisel caught the injin's attention and she waved at the group to follow, "Maybe it's a 'one free statue' coupon, right?" Heading inwards she keeps a wary eye out.
[00:20] * `emily looks to Marlo and shakes her head slowly not trusting her voice enough to speak, shifting her bat to the crook of her arm she fished a rubberband out of her pocket and pulled her long hair back into a pony tail before following after the group, reminding herself to breath with each step
[00:21] <vile> Nickypoo, like the last time he'd been drug out on a mission, remains at the back of the line. He's just along in case someone loses an eye or something. Well. That and to say 'hi' to Tremor. Unless he has to heal up someone's...eye. Or something. He remains quiet and alert, glancing around like he's concerned something's going to jump out and try to chew his foot off or something.
[00:27] * [Tremor] *As the group draws near, they come into a small clearing. There, Tremor has managed to construct a large wall approximately 15 feet tall and around 30 feet wide. It's braced in several places by boards and struts that seem to have been hammed directly into the concrete floor. While the flood lights reflect off of the chalky white of the wall and illuminate the gross amount of dust kicked up by the chisel, one can see Tremor isn't using a power tool at all. The chisel is actually a crowbar and he's channeling enough vibration through the metal to cut through rock as if it were clay. The wall itself hold a large mural, the figures raised against a flat background. Closer inspection shows them to be various members of Cobalt frozen in events past. There's the rescue on the fishship, the fight with music man in the court yard, even the meteor shower that demolished the school. The work isn't half bad, individual characters can be clearly defined from others. He stops working a moment and sighs without turning, "You know why raised letters were used in really important texts in ancient times? It was to keep people from messing with the message. You can always add a line here or a character there when the stone is carved inward, change the whole meaning of the story. When you raise the letters, you can't change it without destroying the whole thing." He turns and looks across the group. He wasn't wearing his jacket, which was already wrong in a dozen ways. His t-shirt, skin and most of his jeans and boots have been almost turned white with dust. He looks at them quizzically, "I wasn't expecting so many of you... what's up?" he rests the crowbar across one shoulder and leans back against his wall slightly.*
[00:28] * Kraken was right with the others, no idea what he was in for but there was safety in numbers. The air of the warehouse was eyed with some amount of distaste, especially considering those sculpture clouds. Kevin opened up a water to refresh himself. The squidman raised a tentacle and nodded in greeting to Tremor.
[00:32] <Sisip> Sisip's eyes slide over the mural before they land on Tremor. Reaching into her backpack she frowns and pulls out the letter, holding it up, "We're wondering the same thing. You've been gone for weeks, then Worm asks me to deliver a message to you along with a healer? Forgive me if that feels like a bit of a setup." Her words are a bit sharper than normal. "How many WERE you expecting?" She steps forward and offers him the message.
[00:35] <Ahriman> Fergus takes the rear with Nick, keeping his back to the others so he can watch behind. When the group stops, he peeks toward the front, but until command or commotion tell him otherwise, he maintains his watch.
[00:35] <MarloCross> Marlo was in awe at the artwork. It moved him in a very profound way. He'd participated in many of those fights. The Battkes with the Music Man stung him the most. The Uirdy ship rescue touched home, however, with a different feeling. He was so surprised that Tremor could do this sort of thing." Incredible."
[00:37] * `emily let out a low whistle as she looked over the art work, she hadn't been present for most of it but she had heard the stories and now seeing this she almost felt she could see exactly what had happened first hand...
[00:38] <vile> Nick looks less impressed by the artwork than the wtf is wrong with this guy at all that stone. The giant ship thing makes him just stare. "That's..." and he falls quiet again. Crazy? Like he can accuse someone else of that. He glances over at Fergus but turns his attention back to Sisip then Tremor.
[00:45] * [Tremor] blinks and quirks a brow at Sisip, offering a wave to Kevin, Nick and the others. He chuckles and nods to Marlo, "Thanks, Sorry if I got your form a little rough. You move pretty fast in those fights." He seems pretty calm, though his eyes keep track of Fergus near the back. This was feeling a little hostile if he didn't know any better. He takes a few steps to grab the letter. "Yeah I know I've been gone a while. The check from META helped fund this new hobby." he motions to the half finished statues veiled in plastic scattered around them along with unfinished sections of his 'wall of cobalt'. "Not sure who this Worm guy is, but I think it's pulling your chain Sisip. I don't need a healer and I'm...." He trails off as he notices the red knight chess piece used as a seal for the envelope. He looks between the lot of them and then quickly breaks the seal, fishing the letter out and looking it over, turning and walking back to his wall as he reads quietly to himself.
[00:51] <Sisip> When he takes the letter Sisip spares a moment to look again at the work, "Quite the hobby." She says quietly. "No, Worm's not the type to pull my chain. Get on my nerves, sure, but not jerk me around." Dark eyes return to Tremor as she watches him. The group is given a look as he moves off, the woman taking another headcount. This was going well. Sometimes overkill was the best kill!
[00:57] * `emily tilts her head slightly as the guy goes from friendly and talkative to quiet in the span of one second, taking a small step back she shifted the grip on her baseball bat slightly, she really hoped there wasn't a fight or anything but she would rather be prepared and have the worst happen then to get taken by surprise
[00:59] * [Tremor] reaction is like watching a candle die out. He doesn't turn, but his whole stance changes. "Well then I guess that explains it. I knew they would come for me someday, I just didn't think it would be you." He turns to glare at them all. His eyes almost flash with pure hate as he form seems to hum and blur, his voice distorted by the vibrations surging through his body. "They should have sent all eight of you." The dust on the ground begins to rise as the air itself crackles around them all. The letter drops, Tremor seems to bolt right, and the lights suddenly go out, cloaking the whole warehouse in total darkness save for the few beams of moonlight streaming in from broken windows and sky lights above. All around is that same pulsing hum, the dust now acting as a fog that rolls across all of them.
[01:04] <Sisip> She probably should have read that damn letter. "Come for you? Are you ... " Her phone buzzes but she really isn't in the 'answer the phone' frame of mind, especially as he continues, "Eight? Tremor what the hell are you talking about?" When the lights go out Sisip swears a most unlady like swearword before calling out to Fergus and Marlo. The three of them were old-hat at this sort of thing, random pop up surprises. Nick, Kev and Emily? Not so much. She raises her voice, "Tremor, what the hell are you doing?"
[01:06] <Ahriman> Fergus isn't all posed and waiting to shoot; he's at a relaxed stance, watching behind the group and waiting for something to happen. And then something happens. "Was it something I said?" he asked, his right eye fading red, keeping an eye out for any Tremors that might try to be sneaky.
[01:07] <vile> "Eight what?" he asks and glances around. WHAT IS GOING ON. "I...I think we need two healers for this." is muttered. The zombified bastard bolts off to one side, totally taking shelter behind a statue. The pimp cane is given a twirl before he just settles down, out of clear harm's way. He keeps an eye on the group but doesn't prance into imminent danger. No good would come of the medic getting KO'd!
[01:09] * Kraken well this was just great. "Tremor what's going on?... Eight what? We just came to help like the paper-" The SquidMan was cut off as the cloud of dust ran over him. He started hacking and coughing, trying to get the dust off his skin, out of his gills, out of his eyes. Close the gills, close the gills, use just the lungs... he coughed again. It was just everywhere. Kevin blinked and rubbed at his eyes, a tentacle reached for a water bottle. He couldn't see. Breathing was hard... The thick stone dust was drying him out. Needed to get wet.. moisten his skin.. his throat..
[01:10] <MarloCross> Marlo snapped his Helmet on as soon as the lights went out. No Night vision yet, but he could get a sense of...Oh wait...No he couldn't. Tremor's quaking had set off his kinetic sense. Marlo stumbled a bit, wincing." Can't...get a bead on him...Kinetic senses are...gah!" His head pounded. Normally he'd just absorb this. But it was all around, too many angles. He tried to soak in the kinetic vibrations, but couldn't focus.
[01:12] * `emily was not prepared for that and let out a small eep as the lights suddenly went out, she was oddly thankful for the darkness as no one could see the blush she was now wearing from making that sound. Emily let out a small breath and lifted the bat up as she glanced around slowly hoping to catch a glance of the pissed off mutant artist.
[01:24] * [Tremor] didn't seem to show for a minute or two and then suddenly the vibration dies down and there's silence before the wall next to Sisip explodes with terrific force, sending a shower of rocks and dust flying at Sisip as well as Emily, Marlo and possibly Kevin. Fergus only catches a glimpse of a figure bolting from where the wall once stood. It's moving fast, unnervingly fast. Nick and fergus may notice the hum suddenly return, and it appears to circle the group in a steady Doppler effect.
[01:30] <Sisip> In pitch black it's difficult to see much of anything, so when the wall explodes there's not much time for the small Indian woman to do much of anything. She cries out as she's knocked off her feet, not even thinking to brace herself, her hands up to block her face and head. She certainly doesn't come out of it unscathed, feeling the warmth of blood sticking to her skin. "Ungnn" is all she manages as she tries to sit up in the dusty darkness, her groan easily heard over the com.
[01:30] <MarloCross> If the chunks were big enough, Marlo would hopefully absorb most of the kinetics as they hit him. Which, generally, means he turtles up and gets knocks around like no body's business. Reeling from the explosion, Marlo taps on his com." Everyone okay? Why the Hell is he attacking Us?!" As he tries to get his bearings, the young kinetic attempts to focus on the trembling in the air, hoping to get some idea where Tremor was. Whether or not it worked was up to Fate....
[01:31] <vile> Nick just hides like a bitch! He crouches behind the wall. But when some other wall fucking explodes, he realizes he's not safe! Aw man this sucks. Both of his gloves are yanked off and shoved into his handy dandy messenger bag. And he just sticks around where he currently is, clueless as to where would be a better spot to cower. At some point in the van ride he'd put in his comm earpiece. When he hears the pained groan, he pokes his head out from behind the wall in an effort to see anything.
[01:32] * Kraken He couldn't see, could barely breathe, but he could feel. And mostly? He felt dryness and the agony that accompanied it. Still though, he raised his tentacles to get a feel and taste over the air. Something was coming, larger than the dust particles. Two of those tentacles were flattened them to try and block the worst of the debris from himself and those nearby, though he was likely to get them scratched up. He failed, getting thrown as well. Eyes all dry and still blinking heavily, Kevin's skin flashed some warning colors and patterns instinctively, some faint blue rings visible at close observation. He hissed and blindly shot off ink. Shoulda brought his suit... shoulda brought night goggles....
[01:33] <Ahriman> A glimpse was all Fergus needed, with both his powers in effect. His reflexes may have been ordinary, but considering his comrades, ordinary reflexes from him were alright. He brought up his paintball marker, training it on Tremor. One power kept him aware of all the flying debris, as well as everything else in his field of view. The other power would make sure his aim was true. He wasn't sure what all the humming was about, but it didn't stop his trigger finger - at least not yet. So he freed a small volley of pepper-filled rounds, 5 or 6. Even if Tremor proved to be faster than his aim, the cloud his ammo made would at least offer a temporary deterrent.
[01:33] * `emily brings her arm up to cover her eyes and tilts her head away from the sound of the explosion but that is about it, she feels the rocks connect and rip up her shirt but thankfully her skin and strength were strong enough to keep her safe from harm and on her feet, Emily may not be the best fighter but she could take a heck of a beating
[01:51] * [Tremor] Seems to stumble as the spray of pepper rounds litters his location. Fergus could see his target still on the move, but slower now. Possibly a shot in the leg.The humming died down once more. Silence. Yet from the silence and darkness people could begin to sense more as they adjusted to the environment. Marlo and possibly Kevin would begin to detect a change. It wasn't the hum, it was where the hum -wasn't-. A small dead zone that moved around. It was hard to detect at first, then became more defined. Suddenly it's location became clear as the statue next to Nick turned and suddenly swung the vibroweapon at the zombie, attempting to send the pour guy flying in Fergus' direction.
[01:56] <vile> If there's one thing Nick excels at, it's avoiding shit and also running from it. But something like statues moving is not something he's used to fleeing from. His reaction is fast: he's up on his feet and in the process of bolting when the weapon connects. The crunch of frail bones can be heard and he saaaails through the air! At least he weighs a wimpy ninety or so pounds, much less than the average man! It's fortuante for Fergus, in case the bony little man successfully hits like a zombie bowling ball.
[02:00] <Sisip> Her head throbbed and hurt like a bitch. "Group to Kevin!" She calls out. The squid man glowed nicely, giving the group a beacon, a focal point. Staying low to the ground the woman does as she's just advised and heads towards her friend. Once getting there she places a hand on a tentacle, her face eerie in Kevin's glow, and soaked with blood. Was it bad? Who knew! Head wounds were tricky like that, even the smallest of them bled like a sonnofabitch. Sisip had an almost "Carrie" look about her, not just with the blood, but with the anger. Poor Kevin, dry, dusty, and now cold... and getting colder. Sisip's hands whip out and a ring of wind blasts outwards around them as she whips her hands to her side, knocking away all the dust frm their area. Her voice is loud as she calls out, "TREMOR! What the HELL is wrong with you?"
[02:01] <MarloCross> Marlo's senses caught the dead spot, tracking it as it's signal clarified. Once it had narrowed, Marlo pushed off toward the source in a quick leap, sadly not able to help the poor regenorator from getting splattered and foolishly ignoring Sisip's order. He drew back, gathering what kinetic force he'd stolen from the previous explosion and put it all into an over hand left. he couldn't see the 'statue' untill he was close. Hopefully, his punch wound catch the attacked off guard and off balance....
[02:04] * Kraken A faint glow came from the cephalopodal man, not enough to see surroundings by, just enough to outline him and possibly draw the others closer in. Kevin was still hissing, in pain from the debris, annoyance at the dryness of the dust and legit agitation and pain from any pepper that may have found its way by him. Ink was shot again as he searched for Tremor's scent/taste... the feel through his tentacles. But there was too much dust to know if it was accurate. The taste and texture interfering. Sisip spoke and he kept the glow up, yes... converge on the Squidpoint. Sisip touched him, it burned - a hurty burn, not a heat burn, he too was cut up by debris and then as she made it cold, Kevin's light slowly dimmed as the squid began to enter a hibernation state.
[02:05] <Ahriman> For the duration Tremor remains within sight, Fergus is firing, leaving little clouds of pepper behind the surprisingly speedy vibrator. The stinging smoke mixes with the dust already lingering, dissipating with it just as slowly. Now admittedly, from the few missions he's been on, the shit he's seen has desensitized him a bit. Especially after Creature. But moving statues was still a surprise. Were they mechanical? Or was Tremor animating them somehow? He was waiting for the guy to come out of somewhere, backing toward Kevin as instructed, when suddenly - Nick. He 'oof'd and stumbled.
[02:07] * `emily quickly made her way towards Kevin even as the light started to fade, the tall girl bit her lip and eyed the statues a moment before turning to Sisip.."I can destroy those statues..." Emily let the statement hang there almost like she was asking Sisip if she should.
[02:27] * [Tremor] the statues were not alive. Tremor was just pulling one of those old horror movie tricks where the killer poses as one of the many statues covered in plastic to get the drop on people! Of course, it helped if he didn't have Fergus keeping a bead on him more often than not. Another two pepper rounds catch him in the shoulder and arm, sending him reeling. He's about to move in for the kill on the marksman mutant currently busy with a Nick-projectile when Marlo jumps in. Tremor was fast, but the pepper rounds were messing with him and there was only so much that could be done against an assault from the bruiser. Tremor takes a solid hit and attempts to roll with the blow, flying backwards into some statues. The only thing saving every bone in his body from being broken is the powerful vibrations that continue to pulse through him, both protecting him partly from Marlo's blow and shattering every piece of art he hit as he flies backwards. Sisip meanwhile clears the air, which should help Kevin at least a little bit. Emily won't get any dirty looks from the statues, but art lovers everywhere will never let her access a museum again with that attitude!
[02:28] <vile> Nick would certainly be happy he can't feel things like 'pain' because he'd be screeching like a banshee just about now if he could. Instead he's just pissed off. Part because one of his arms is totally ruined and left all flopping around at his side and also because he's not supposed to fly. Or be a projectile. Or a weapon. The angry zombie stands up and quietly growls. Too bad he can't fucking see anything. At least anything other than Kevin's light. He abandons seeking revenge and instead follows Sisip's orders, retreating towards the glowing Kevin. Aaand he realizes it was Sisip that uttered that groan earlier! Crap. Is he pissed off enough to make any attempt to heal her turn into an attack? Not quite willing to risk it, because she has enough to hate him for, he edges close to her and just asks if she needs medical attention.
[02:32] <Sisip> "Yes, Emily, go!" Her arms continue to swirl, making sure that any dust is pushed away from the group and repellling any projected rocks should any come towards them. Speaking into the com her voice is strained, "Find a way to knock him out, guys, we'll take him home and SND his ass until this is sorted out.. and someone.. find that damn letter." It was probably against a wall somewhere from the wind if it had been left to flutter free. As Nick comes over she shakes her head, "It's not bad, I'll be fine, save it until it's really needed." Please don't let it be needed.
[02:35] * Kraken says nothing and does nothing except sleep. Though the air is cleared, he still looks like he's barely breathing and hearts' rate is slowed if Sisip still has it all cold around him. Such is coldbloodedness when it's... cold.
[02:38] * `emily nods and drops the bat to the ground before dashing into the statues with all the subtlety of a bull in china shop, Emily moved swiftly and without restraint as she put all of her strength behind every punch and kick she delivered at the statues
[02:38] <Ahriman> Knock him out? That meant teamwork with other people being in close. That meant no pepper rounds. Good enough for Fergus. With Nickdoken no longer on him, he reached behind him, removing his backpack and setting it at his feet. He kept his awareness high, the paintball marker following his gaze, while his free hand reached into the pack. From it he first took a normal-looking handgun, setting it next to him. That was followed by a normal-looking magazine, though the rounds inside weren't so normal-looking. This clip, and another that was also retrieved, were filled with the rubber rounds he used when he first applied for the team, and was told to use nonlethal rounds. The weapon change was quick, so he could resume looking for Tremor, without being vulnerable for too long.
[02:40] <MarloCross> He pressed what little advantage he'd been given. The vibration that saved Tremor would most likely have given Marlo a bit more of a charge. Following the path he assumed Tremor might fly. Marlo took a second to right his spinning head before bull rushing Tremor. Or he hoped. Without knowing where Fergus was, He made a rush like a defensive lineman, ready to turn if need be, but still reaching arms out to ensnare prey, hoping to bring the quaking mutant down. If he could just get a hold of Tremor, he'd bear hug him and just hold on...
[02:58] * [Tremor] 's Voice resonates through the entire building, the very structure becoming his voice, "I trusted you all! I told them last time, if I saw one of you again, I would rip the world if half to find them and kill them! Why couldn't you leave me alone!" From the dust and debris where Tremor came to stand he would spot Marlo charging in. His fury clashed with fighting subroutines that had been programmed in on an instinctual level, his movements less exact and measured and more overkill. When Marlo reaches him, Tremor has enough time to drive the crowbar into the concrete floor like it was jack hammer, the resulting blast of vibrations creates an explosion of rock and force, quaking through the floor in all directions and reaching out even to the edges of the building. At first it was just a sudden jolt that would be enough to make one unsteady on their feet, but it quickly builds until cracks in the concrete turn into huge gashes, and then further widen into pits of foundation and re-barb. The statues and other artwork suddenly catches a key frequency and explode by proxy, but thanks to Emily, there are none nearby to cause them damage, and Sisip is still keeping the area clear of dust and debris. Fergus would have the angry mutant in sight of course, but he might also notice that the supports for the building were starting to buckle and shift.
[03:01] <vile> Nick bobs his head in a nod to Sisip, showing he'd understood. But he stays on alert, ready to dish out the healing if she faints or anything. "You need stitches." is muttered under his breath. When everything goes even further to shit, he cries out in horror and remains next to Sisip like she's going to protect him or something. HA. There's nothing useful that he can do, other than stay out of the way, so that's exactly what he does. Just...stay beside Kevin and look petrified. "I think we should leave." is squeaked, he yanks back on his gloves and leans down to try and pick Kevin up enough that he could drag his squiddy friend back towards the van. RETREAT. "Put out a report to META and get him on the watch list. Or track him down with a properly outfitted group."
[03:05] <Ahriman> Fergus had a helluva time trying to line up a shot with Marlo charging in. The floor having seizures wasn't helping, either. But both assumptions are correct: As soon as Tremor moves anywhere within Fergus' field of view, the half-Scot has him in sights not a blink later. It's too bad about the building, though. "Everyone out!" he shouts over the din. "The building is coming down!" It's like that scene in Hot Fuzz, which is like that scene in Point Break, where the perp is in sight, but there's a struggle whether or not to take the shot. But, for Fergus, there's no struggle. He fires twice before picking up his backpack, slinging it over a shoulder, and grabbing the nearest people - probably Emily and Kevin and helping them the hell outta dodge.
[03:07] <Sisip> Sisip is confused, so much that it overrides her intense anger, the air around them warming. When the floor begins to tremble and break she gah's loudly into the com, "Fall back, everyone fall back." That letter... where the hell was that letter. Backing towards the door she does the only thing she could think of to find the thing, someting she'd been practicing in the sims to refine for a very specific reason. Widening her scale a bit her arms pull inwards against her torso and the wind she was blowing outwards now pulls in directly towards her, dust, pebbles, and paper. There was nothing they could do right now, Nick was right... coincidentally he was also right about the stitches, but first things first, escape!
[03:07] * Kraken at least the lower heart rate in his torpored body meant he didn't bleed as much from his debris wounds! He was still out of it for the most part closer to unconsciousness than he was to being awake. Another reason for Kevin to fear statues and with his luck he's probably been struck by one of him. Just like the Winter Formal where he was nearly flattened. Anyway's he'd likely be out of it for a while now. Thankfully he had friends to carry him away from danger.
[03:11] * `emily crashes to the ground as it shakes violently under her, pushing herself to her feet Emily looked around for a second before racing towards Kevin and Vile, bending down she gently scooped up the down vile hoping that Fergus was getting kevin..
[03:14] * `emily crashes to the ground as it shakes violently under her, pushing herself to her feet Emily looked around for a second before racing towards Kevin and Vile, bending down she picked up Kevin.."I got him!"
[03:25] * [Tremor] whole form is a dark blur, the sound coming from him as he channels into the ground is something between a rattle of sheet metal and a chorus of guitars droning at their lowest strings with no end in sight. The air itself seems to spark and pop with static near him. All the while he -glares- with that unmitigated fury. He vowed he would never be taken again, never tricked into friendship by the enemy. Now he would make them pay, now he would- His thoughts are cut short by a pepper round to his chest and another to his head. He snaps back and all the vibrations stop. The effect this has on the building is slightly less than ideal. Without the steady channel of power, the very forces that were tearing apart the structure and everything around it had been replaced with the dead weight of a building barely holding together. All the supports at the far end give way at once, The first to be buried is Tremor of course, a chuck of sheet metal clamming into his unconscious body and narrowly missing Marlo, then the roof and walls begin to crumble in the team's direction. On the up side, the floor isn't doing crazy stuff anymore. The letter flies to Sisip's hands and she's able to see what's typed inside for the first time. The rest of the group have only 20 seconds or so to get out before they are buried as well.
[03:29] <Sisip> Snatching the paper she shoves it into her backpack. "MARLO!" Bolting towards her brother her arms whip forward and a wind blast is sent towards debris heading his way. "Marlo, grab Tremor! Grab him!" She's swirlywinding something and it seemed it was above Marlo and Tremor, the woman trying to keep them safe from any falling stuff. Unfortunately it wasn't over HER as well.
[03:29] <vile> TO THE VAN. Nick drags Kevin's body to safety! "Fergus needs a round that can implant a tracking chip." he thinks aloud and totally lets Emily carry Kevin around. Nick's scrawny, has only one working arm at the moment and f that mess he's hiding! Twenty seconds? NICK IS ALREADY GONE, running faster than a kid out of fat camp when the ice cream truck rolls by. In fact, he's totally in
[03:29] <vile> the van by now. F the rest of you fuckers.
[03:32] <[Tremor]> ((check that, rubber rounds. not pepper rounds.))
[03:32] * Kraken woo to safety! Dragged by three different people apparently! Though Nick had dibs. Emily's better. Lanky and skinny as Kev is, Nick is a breakable little bundle of sticks. Safety time and even though he was totaly knocked out, some part of Kevin was dissapointed he couldn't help more... or at all...
[03:34] * `emily set Kevin down before turning and darting back towards the building, she wasn't sure she could take the impact of a building falling on her but she was pretty sure she could handle it a lot better then any of the others, racing into the building she looked around before running towards Sisip
[03:34] <Ahriman> Fergus couldn't do anything about people charging back into a crumbling building. Not when he was already helping other people get out. But Marlo was one of those people, so he was having to hope that he would somehow keep everyone from getting killed.
