Cobalt Academy's X-Team consists of a series of mutants trained in assault, defense, and covert operations. Team members and captains can change at any time and for any reasons that Marcus Gains sees fit. In the event that the team captain is not present for either IC or OOC reasons, a sub-captain will be chosen depending on which team members are available and most capable. The team operates under the head of Marcus Gains [Op-run NPC, usually played by Annie], META representative.

The Silver Squad consists of team members who provide the first line of defense and offense for the school as well as participate in numerous 'away' missions, while the Blue Squad consists of team members who specialize in information gathering, arming the team with equipment, acquiring and providing transport, and other support jobs. Blue Squad members may be called on away missions if the need arises.
