Construction worklog.

Construction of the new Cobalt Hill facility began on September 1st. Construction and demolition crews can be seen coming and going from the grounds from 6 AM to 8 PM every day. So far, only the sports fields have been torn up and are no longer accessible. The construction is taking place in sections to assure that there is as little interference with those living on the campus as possible. Every now and then, men and women in blue jumpsuits with 'M.C.C.D' embroidered on the chests are able to be seen arriving at and leaving the grounds.

Since the start of the construction, the sports fields have been removed and replaced with foundation. One team of workers can be seen putting together parts for the facility with steel beams while the others are working on tearing down the academics buildings. The building should be completely torn down in three days' time.

The academic building has been completely torn down and it seems as though the garage is the next thing being dozed to the ground. It's easy to see something being put up, though the unusual shape of the building doesn't quite match the blueprints that everyone was shown in the meeting.

The construction crews didn't seem to be destroying anything today -- the garage was gone, the academic building was gone, and there was a lot of open space right now that had safety guards all around it. Instead of demolition, they seemed to be focusing on actual...construction! They were building...something. It was difficult to tell just what it was, but those who had been present for the school's 'last meeting' and saw the blueprints may have noticed that the structure at the back of the campus deviated from the original design.

The construction of the housing facility has been completed, and anyone who plans to remain residents of the grounds is encouraged to move in ASAP.

At a glance, the housing facility looks to be more like a huge hotel than anything. This is not entirely off the mark. The living quarters have been designed with comfort and practicality in mind. The housing facility spans a total of five floors. The first two floors are dedicated to those living on campus who are under the age of twenty-one, the second two reserved for those who over the age of twenty-one, while the third consisting of higher-class setups usually occupied by staff members or individuals with large families. They often resemble small houses, even having the option of multiple floors. The setup allows for as much privacy as possible, the walls muffling even the loudest of music and sounds.

There are several types of housing units -- they may be in a studio apartment style for the younger residents, larger, spanning condo setups for staff members, etc. Apartments may have balconies, those on the first floor may have small patios, so on and so forth.

Following the meteor-caused destruction, efforts have been upped to make construction proceed even quicker. After a mysterious woman was brought in, areas around the quad were sectioned off. In those areas, time seemed to speed up, with several weeks' worth of construction being completed in hours. It is rumored that, at this rate, the facility may only need days to complete.

The construction finally slowed to a stop just after 4 PM, and residents of Cobalt Hill were absolutely stunned to see the structure that followed. Protective but welcoming, comfortable but safe, with all of home's pleasures and some that one would most definitely not find at home. The completed structure that is their new home is quite a sight. See for yourself! Just click on the Setting tab!
