Mutant-Human Relations Turn Shaky

Mutant-Human Relations Turn Shaky

Postby Remu » Thu Aug 11, 2011 10:23 pm

News stations around the country are reporting the hanging of a rat-like mutant who was stripped of his holograph technology the previous night from his government employer following the recent ban on such technologies. Thomas Dawson was found dead early this morning, with the word 'ABOMINATION' carved within the tree that held his body. Mutants and mutant-supporters alike are up in arms, and less extreme reports of violence are now being heard of all across the states. Police are investigating this heinous crime and anyone with information on the murder is encouraged to come forward.

Things only appeared to be going downhill following the ban on SNDs and Holographic Projection Watches. Across the country, interactions between mutants and humans have become tense and more unstable. Mutants are flocking to special shelters and schools after finding themselves ostracized from their own communities. There have not yet been any leads on the murder of Thomas Dawson, though anyone with information is encouraged to come forward. In Salem, Massachusetts, three teenagers, all mutants, who were not students at Cobalt Academy, were rushed into the emergency room late last night, suffering chemical burns of some kind. The individuals responsible had not yet been taken into custody (and many mutants were uncertain if they ever would). This has prompted retaliation on the part of many members of the mutant community, much to the delight of the human 'I told you so' crowd. Two of the teens are stable, while one is reported to be in critical condition.
