Blood-beast rampages on campus! 6/16/11

On the evening of Thursday, June 16th, Professor Paul Montini made a startling discovery about the blood samples belonging to the coma-stricken boy that had been saved from being chased and devoured by huge mutated hounds the week before by Sisip, Marcus, Ashe, Krys, Anatoly, Demitrius and Eden. Whatever infectious property had mutated the canines was infecting the boy as well, and once his body had time to heal itself, the infection took hold.

The boy 'woke' from his coma at almost the same time, seemingly unconscious with his powers controlling themselves, slaughtering a handful of medical center staff by impaling them with crystalline spider legs made of the boy's own blood and draining them of their own blood, adding to the boy's stockpile one by one. Leaving dead and injuring medical staff behind, resembling a giant crystallized blood spider, it finally escaping the building. In the quad, it was battled by Paul, Krys, Marcus, Kylie, Shandi, Ian and Tempest, each of them valiantly doing their best to keep the beast in check.

Kylie, the Comet Girl, finally shattered the blood beast's center shell apart at great risk - and harm - to herself, and before it could find another victim to replenish its blood supply, Paul managed to wrestle the damage and injured boy-beast to the ground and attach an SND to the boy's arm, nullifying his powers and rendering him unconscious once more.

Students are being asked to avoid walking on the grass in the quad at this time until Hazmat teams can make a proper sweep of the area, and any students who were harmed during the battle are asked to report to the medical center for testing, as they may be infected with the same virus that caused the boy to go on his rampage.
