Occupation:

Description: Average height and holding an almost human appearance, Zamora possesses short, but soft gray fur with a white stomach and darker gray markings. Her hair is a short and spiky black. Furry skin-flaps stretch from her wrists to her ankles, enabling her to glide only, not fly. The fur on her tail is more fluffed than the rest of her. Her ears are huge and look too big for her face. Like a marsupial, Zamora possesses a pouch, although hers is apparently cosmetic. In a stark contrast with her overall mammalian appearance, Zamora's eyes are quite reptilian.

---------------------------------

Powerset: X-gene manipulation and mutated body.

Primary: Animalistic Traits: Though Zamora looks mostly humanoid in shape, she holds a somewhat feral appearance reminiscent of a sugar glider or flying squirrel complete with functional gliding flaps. Her senses while sharper than the normal human's are nothing too big aside from her now perfect though black and white night vision (SL reward.) She cannot fly only glide, but is quite skilled and anyone watching might mistake the ability for flight. While they may be small, Zamora's fangs and claws can still deal some damage to the unwary.

Secondary: Power Alteration: Zamora can trade other mutants' powers normally via touch. By maintaining skin contact the powers of her choosing on the involved parties will be traded. This is not a permanent change and the powers will return to normal within a day's time, but she can reverse it anytime she wants. The powers swapped need not be of similar qualities (i.e. heat vision being traded for enhanced sight). But it is easier on all three parties if so, as those involved are not instantly skilled in their "new" powers and the effects are often overwhelming. Physical mutations can be transferred as well (i.e. swapping fur with stone). It stands reason that Zamora could technically turn a human into a mutant and vice versa, but she has not tried this out. She can transfer the whole power package but it wears her out to do so. As of now the change would become permanent only if one of the two swapees were to die. If there is no swapping partner the power is drained and Zamora is stuck with a corrupted variant of said abilities and unable to use her own for the duration.

Tertiary: Mutant/power sniffing: Zamora can smell out a mutant and their powers, while she can't pinpoint exactly what the power is to a T she can tell the gist of it. Like she can smell the difference between a terrakinetic and a phaser and be able to differentiate which is which for example. She also tends to give these scents a name to describe them. Being able to smell the power out aids in her knowing what to swap. Even if she can't tell exactly what a power is she still knows that the person is a mutant and with a little Q&A be able to understand the scent much better.

Drawbacks/Weaknesses:
  • Her vision is darkness oriented; bright lights hurt and tend to drive her off.
  • Dampeners partially blot her power sniffing and swapping ability, as she has to know what it is that she is switching around. Usage of a dampener blocks the powers' scents so she can't smell them. If she were to try she'd be going in blindly, this poses no problem if she were swapping the whole power package, but the swapping of a particular power would be trickier. Same is to be said for a power whos scent she does not understand.
  • Her instincts acting up have cause a good deal of harm to both herself and outside parties, as she's woken up in a nest in tree on more than one occasion.
  • Draining a power she has no or little understanding of ends badly for her, as more than once she's woken up strapped down to a hospital bed, one time even devoid of fur and naked.

Projected Power Growth & Development: Zamora will be able to swap powers without a time limit.

Skills:
  • Gymnastics and while not strictly a mutant power it's possibly very influenced by it. Though possessing a semi-prehensile tail and having opposable feet helps. She is very skilled at climbing, and finding her way into and out of tight spaces.

Background: Perfectly normal family life, just like any human one. A mutant of several generations, Zamora being all furry was practically normal for her family. With intense and very physical mutations running deep in her family, her appearance came as no surprise. But still she was home schooled along with her siblings as the outside world would not be so accommodating to such obviously mutant children. The occasions she did go outside, it was under disguise. When Zamora was little, it was thought that she possessed no powers other than her appearance as she had not yet manifested anything other than what her furred form might make one think. That changed quickly when what was at first thought to be allergies kept cropping up around Zamora. Her nose was always either stuffed up or runny, and she often had sneezing fits. These reactions almost were allergies; the sneezes were soon discovered to occur around too much power usage. She could smell that someone was a mutant, and from there Zamora almost instinctively discovered her power swapping ability. She’s been enrolled in Cobalt to get a more classroom education.

Criminal Record: None

Quirks/Extras (Special skills, links, etc.):
  • A prankster, she finds fun in mock hunting, sneaking up on friends, and pouncing them.
  • If she has to get some where fast Zamora prefers to run on all fours.
  • Happily married to a respawner named Paul Booth.
