Flower Shop

A cafe. Pastel paints give it a cheerful tone. Minty green, warm rose, cheerful yellow, soft blues all work together on the storefront, trim, and signs to bring a little calm and happiness back into the world. Twisting vines sprouting large white flowers cover a tall trellis. Ivy hangs from baskets secured on white hooks. Awesome and exotic blooms paint their wooden stands with exquisite aromas and pops of bright color. A few charmingly aged wooden tables and wrought iron chairs make it all the more inviting.

The front door is plate glass with the finest of golden metal winding and linking between the sheets of glass. If they were a thicker gauge it would look like a security measure. Tiny paintings of vines and flowers add a nice touch to the frame. A white metal mailbox is slightly covered by a Hawaiian hibiscus plant in a half-assed attempt to conceal it. Gold lettering denotes a name and address on the box. 4162 Waverly Lane -  Danielle White.

Inside is warm and inviting. A light breeze circulates through the room from some hidden fans. Incense burns and drifts with the air to fill the area with gentle perfumes. Part of the ceiling is glass held in place by honey colored wood frame. Strings of fairy lights twinkle slowly day and night. Plants hang from hooks and line shelves. Abstract paintings hang from the walls. They display the bright colors of a diverse garden in bloom and inspire a feeling of tranquility.

Rugs add a pop of color to the weathered hardwood floor. Years of visitors have stripped paint that has never been replaced. Mismatched wooden tables and chairs offer a seating area under the sun. Small candles and roses bring life and decor to the tables.

The sales counter is equally worn. Small baskets offer freshly baked brownies and cookies sealed in wax wraps. Colorful lengths of ribbon fasten each bag shut like a present. Bags of fancy coffee are on display and hail from all over the world.

The owner is Danielle White. A Cobalt alumni that went by Aine. Tall and thin, bald with bright blue eyes, normally smiling. The words she speaks are slow and practiced as if they’re all said with intent. The power she has is precognition but the limits are narrow. Dani can only view her own future and one day in advance. Deep meditation can extend her sight farther into the future but the accuracy drops sharply. She has few enemies and many friends. Dani works with Richard to enrich and renovate Crowley’s Row.
