Personality Profile: Shy, used to being overlooked and looked down on by those considering themselves above him. Therefore he is very concerned about those who tend to be overlooked or abused. Soft spot for orphans and neglected children. He thinks the idea of anyone being above anybody else is either by power or birth is ridiculous and has a high sense of what he believes to be fairness.

General Power Information: Fireproof. Metal manipulation.

Ability One: Fireproof. Having been raised in the heat of Hell Arlo is not bothered by fire or anything fire related. His skin and hair will not burn. However that is the limit of it. He can’t control fire or do anything useful with it other than just not be burned.

Ability Two: Metal Manipulation. The ability to control any metal. The closer/clearer he can see the metal or metal object the more fine his manipulations can become. If he is not close or cannot clearly see the object (such as a belt buckle under clothes or a metal door behind a wooden door) he can’t do more than grab for it and pull, crush, or liquify.

Ability Three: N/A

Drawbacks & Weaknesses: Being from Hell he’s not good with the cold. He will have to be constantly bundled up when outside in colder temperatures and will likely want extra warmth even indoors. This will make him weak against ice and cold abilities. Too cold for too long and he will go into a hibernation state. Without warming up it will, eventually, kill him. / When he uses his ability to manipulate metal it turns his skin gold. Once finished his skin will revert to normal but in the meantime he is extremely obvious and potentially even an easier target.

Skills: Having been rather neglected by his father and step mother he had to learn to fend for himself in a number of ways. This included spending a great deal of time in the kitchen avoiding particular people and cooking his own meals. As a result he’s quite the whiz in a kitchen.

Background: Arlo was the product of a demon/mutant affair. He has no idea what happened to his mother or even who she is or was or even if she is still alive or not. He knows his father took him to raise him in Hell but that his stepmother, who revers to Arlo as her husband’s “youthful indiscretion”, hated his very existence. It was a threat to her position within their household and the potential inheritance of that household and position for her own sons. Arlow has three half brothers who view him much the same as their mother. As a result he tended to spend most of his time hiding away until he found a place in the kitchens where at least he wasn’t being tormented by his brothers. As he grew older he started to manifest the powers of not only his mutant mother but that of his father as well. Enraged that those abilities would be passed on to a “halfling” his stepmother tore the power from him body and soul until all he had left was the ability to survive the conditions of Hell. Thus his fireproof ability. The other abilities coming to the fore just made him all the more the outcast who was nothing but the brunt of jokes, an embarrassment to his father’s name, and an eyesore to his step mother. So when the hellmouth opened and he saw his chance he took it. He escaped despite the cold and the unknown deciding a life on Earth had to be better than what he was already enduring.

Quirks, Extras, Random Character Facts: His eyes are quite distinct, a combination of fire and gold that do make him stand out a little bit. His powers do cause his skin to turn gold when he uses them but once he stops it will revert to normal. However he can get stuck in that gold form if, for instance, he is rendered unconscious during that time. He has to consciously revert. He is greatly affected by the cold and needs to keep warm however he can. So he will almost always be bundled up and might even be caught sitting directly IN a burning fireplace just to get warm enough for his liking. He isn’t used to having attention on him and so is shy and likely prone to panic if in large crowds. Being that Arlo's demon half is incubus and the energy he feeds from is intimate in nature he tends to have a natural charm to him that he simply can't help. It just oozes from him without him even trying. The man is just naturally sexy at all times. When he actually *tries* to be appealing he's damn near irresistible.
