Personality Profile: Gary is one of the most chill guys anyone will ever meet. It's not a facade hiding deep anger issues or malicious intent, and it's not brought on by training or anything of the sort. Gary is just that kind of guy. Though, this is complemented by a small amount of eccentricity. Despite Gary being a generally likeable guy, he's a bit odd. Be it dancing through the halls and streets or just playing music without seemingly realizing it, it would be hard to look at Gary and see him as anything remotely resembling normal. Typically he can be seen with some kind of grin on his face, making jokes, having a good time, and dancing.

Physical Description: Gary is a young-looking man with messy light brown hair, fair skin, and a slim, yet athletic build.

Perhaps the most striking feature about him is his eyes. Somehow, his mutation changed the irises within his eyes, causing them to cycle through every colour in the spectrum of visible light with a full cycle occurring every minute. Because of this mutation, he tends to wear a pair of sports shades to cover them in public. He's not particularly ashamed of them, he just doesn't want to weird people out more than he already does.

Along with the shades, he tends to wear a light grey fleece biking jacket, jeans, and an assorted variety of t-shirts, all of which have a record design on the front.

General Power Information: Audiokinesis - Sound Wave Creation/Manipulation

Ability One: Music Creation - Gary can manipulate the air around him to create soundwaves in the form of any music he can imagine. This can happen at any time, even when Gary is asleep. He doesn't need to be conscious to perform this ability, but while unconscious, he can't control what exactly it is that he does. Certain beats that Gary creates may have effects on those near him, such as calming them or even putting them to sleep.

Ability Two: Bass Boost - Gary is capable of creating a concentrated blast of sound powerful enough to rupture eardrums and in certain cases even topple trees, shot out in front of him. This is adjustable in power, but it's almost always destructive to a degree.

Ability Three: Sound Projection - Gary is also capable of manipulating soundwaves not in his immediate area, allowing him to disorient opponents by making a loud (but not destructive) banging noise near their heads, distracting those he needs to sneak past by creating sounds in an opposite direction from him, or throwing off sound-reliant enemies’ tracking ability by making it seem like he’s in two places at once. He can also take sounds happening at certain locations and transmit them to other places, such as making his footsteps appear to be coming froma different direction than they really are.

Drawbacks & Weaknesses: The Bass Boost is an extremely destructive attack, and as a result of that, it tires Gary out immensely to use it. Imagine physically grabbing an air molecule and shaking it. Now imagine doing that to many air molecules and making them violent enough to rupture eardrums and shatter glass, then shooting them in a single direction. That level of exhaustion can set in quickly. Though adrenaline can carry him through a fight and keep him awake, once it wears off, depending on how much he’s used the Bass Boost, he is very prone to passing out.

Alongside this, though fit and fast, Gary is physically only a regular human. Hand-to-hand combat will never do him much good, so he has to rely on his abilities to disorient and distract his opponent. Up against stronger enemies, he has to forgo hand-to-hand entirely and just focus on disorienting them so that others can take advantage. If alone, it’s best for him to retreat.

Skills: Gary is a skilled piano player. Even though he doesn’t have to use a piano to create music, he does so anyway. He gets a sense of satisfaction from creating music from his hands rather than his mind.

Background: Gary was born into a musical family in Summerside, PEI, Canada. His father played the Saxophone, Guitar, and Trumpet, while his mother played the Piano, Clarinet, and many different forms of percussion. He quickly gained a penchant for music, himself. His parents taught him how to play the guitar, drums, saxophone, and most importantly to him, the Piano.

He lived in relative normalcy until he was around age 12, when his powers began to manifest. He would often find songs he has in his head starting to play like real music, out loud. Upon demonstrating this to his parents, they were excited, yet cautious. They told him that his ability was a gift, but to try to keep it secret. They knew others may not be anywhere near as accepting of him as they were. Around this time, the mutation in his eyes also started to show, causing him to wear his signature shades more regularly.

Gary managed to keep his powers hidden until he was 16, accidentally using a Bass Boost on the neighbours' tree after tripping, causing it to topple onto the street, crashing onto a man’s car hood. It was deemed an accident, but it would be safe to say that after this he wasn't very well-liked among the neighbourhood. No one felt safe around him, and conversely, his parents worried about his safety.

After some time since the incident had passed, there had been a few attempted assaults directed at Gary, and many occasions where his peers, even former friends, had referred to him as a freak. His parents had begun to seek out places he could go. They found Cobalt Hill. Somewhere away from PEI, a supposed safe haven for mutants. It took some convincing, but he eventually agreed. He grabbed what he wanted to take with him, and out the door he went.

Criminal Record: Gary has no record.

Quirks, Extras, Random Character Facts:
- Along with all of his abilities, Gary has perfect pitch, allowing him to very easily identify the notes he's making.

- Gary is half Scottish, as his father was born and raised in Ullapool. This shows through a very light accent that becomes much more pronounced when he gets agitated or loud. Thankfully, this rarely happens, so very few people will ever have to hear his incomprehensible yelling.

- Gary's very big into video games, often using his piano to play songs he heard in his games.
