The city of Salem had some unexpected visitors late December the 23rd. The sound of hooves drowned out the bustle of last minute shoppers. Several loud bellows echoed through the streets. While no video evidence exists some rumors go around about the source of the noise. A large man with thick silvery fur robe rode a massive six-legged elk. Some claimed the beast’s nose glowed a burning red.

The noise wasn’t the only surprise. Salem residents report finding a single present in their hands or on the ground near them. Several have reported relief from chronic injuries and pain. Parents are advised to contact their vet and local laws before keeping any surprise ponies. The Humane Society of Salem will have extended hours to handle unwanted animals or pets. Those with exotic animals we urged to contact Animal Control. Vehicles must be registered with the DMV.

Reports say the unexpected gift phenomenon was not limited just to the Salem area. People around the world experienced the holiday cheer.
