Secure Arrivals Room & Teleport Wards

Cobalt Academy is now equipped with two very important things.

The first is the Anti-Teleportation Wards, a set of interconnected, overlapping magical fields that redirect all teleportation, portals, and other magical, psionic, technological, or otherwise supernatural non-standard travel into the Secure Arrivals Room, described below. The wards have multiple power sources and reinforce each other, making their destruction a time-consuming and difficult process. As an additional effect, these wards prevent scrying, clairvoyance, remote viewing, and other sensory projection into the area of effect. Attempts to do so will result in useless psychic static.

The Secure Arrivals Room is a reinforced chamber located in an upper basement level of the Academy, equipped with both less-than-lethal and lethal measures, monitored and staffed 24/7, and connected to the Academy's database to allow faculty, students, and friendlies to travel freely to and from Secure Arrivals with minimal inconvenience.
Less-than-lethal anti-intrusion measures include:
  • Foam guns
  • Sentry guns equipped with rubber bullets
  • Sentry guns equipped with beanbag rounds
  • Sound guns
  • Tasers
Lethal anti-intrusion measures include:
  • Combination sentry guns loaded with 12 gauge shotgun and 7.62x51mm rounds
All sentry guns are automatic, but guards manning the adjacent security room can take manual control of any of security measure. If identification and negotiation fail, security is instructed to begin with less-than-lethal options and work their way up, with lethal options as a last resort.
